On Saturday June 6, 2009 Tony's Cedar Key Clam Chowder competed at the 28th Annual Schweppes Great Chowder Cook-off at The Newport Yachting Center on America's Cup Blvd. In Newport, R.I. Thousands of Chowder lovers sampled chowders from all over the world. With all the votes counted, Tony's Cedar Key Clam Chowder was selected 1st and crowned Clam Chowder World Champion.

Tony's is proud to offer the Worlds Greatest Clam Chowder and we've come to realize the importance of the history of The Great Chowder Cook-off in Newport. For Chowder lovers around the world it's hollowed grounds, the place where Clam Chowder Champions are crowned in June of each year. What an amazing event, such a spirit of competition and in the end, the people have spoken and a Clam Chowder World Champion is decided. We appreciate all the well wishes from our fans all over the world. Thank you for making our chowder the best!

We'll be travelling back this year, with plans to not only defend our title, but to also amaze all in attendance with our chowder!
